Translation services. Requirements for translation services
What is the ISO 17100:2015 standard?
The application of ISO 17100:2015 also provides the means by which a translation service provider (TSP) can demonstrate compliance of translation services as specified in ISO 17100:2015 and the capability of its processes and resources to deliver a translation service that will meet client specifications and other applicable specifications. Applicable specifications may include those of the client, the TSP itself, and any relevant industry codes, best practice guides, or legislation. The use of raw machine translations plus post-editing is outside the scope of ISO 17100:2015. ISO 17100:2015 does not apply to interpreting services.
What is a management system and why do we need one?
The international standard ISO 9000:2015 defines the term management system as “a set of interrelated or interacting elements of an organization to establish policies, objectives, and processes to achieve those objectives. A complete management system covers every aspect of management and focuses on supporting performance management to achieve objectives. The management system should be subject to continual improvement as the organization matures.

To comply with the impartiality principle required by the SR EN ISO/IEC 17021-1:2015 standard for certification bodies, Wert Audit cannot provide consultancy, training, or internal audit services to legal entities requesting certification or those already certified at the time of request. Also, legal entities for which Wert Audit has provided consultancy, training, or internal audit services cannot receive certification services for a minimum period of 2 years after completion of those prior services.
